About Canyon Heights PAC

Welcome to the online source for Canyon Heights Elementary Parent Advisory Council (PAC). All parents at our school are a part of our PAC. We hope for and welcome your input and participation throughout the school year! The PAC plans and supports additional activities for our school community all year long. Fun, fundraising, socializing, and helping connect all members of school community is what we do--believing that a strong and connected community benefits our children most of all!

Upcoming Events
---------------------
PAC Meeting September 26, 2016 - please see details below.
---------------------
Munch A Lunch!
Hot lunch ordering is open for Session 1 ("Fall"). Click to open registration window on the school website. The program offers once per week lunches for students (with a few variations to accommodate the school calendar) and is a fantastic fundraiser for the PAC, with all the proceeds directly benefitting the students at Canyon Heights Elementary.

  • We will be featuring 4 lunch options in the Fall session - Foodie Kids, Boston Pizza, Sushi Katsu, and Subway/Booster Juice. We have added a couple of new treat options to each lunch theme as well - freshly baked banana bread and delicious chocolate zucchini loaf! We have added a new feature this session where parents can order different items for each lunch type; for example you can order a cheese pizza on Pizza Day and then pepperoni for the next Pizza Day.
  • Please note that payment must be made at the time of ordering; orders without payment will be cancelled one week prior to the first lunch date.
  • Attention Kindergarten Parents: The Kindergarten teachers have requested for their students to start hot lunch later in the school year to give students the chance to settle into the school routine first.
  • Please direct any questions regarding hot lunch to canyonhotlunch@gmail.com and our volunteers will respond in 24 hours.

Also...
The Munch A Lunch Program allows parents to register for PAC events, such as the upcoming Ice Cream Social this Thursday. When parents register on the Munch A Lunch page (the lunch ordering is optional), it makes responding to PAC event invitations easy, and helps us plan for volunteers and food!
Please consider signing up, and clicking around to let us know if you can join our Welcome Back Party--- once you do, you're ready to say yes to the other fun social events PAC plans for you and your children throughout the year!
---------------------
The Canyon Heights Hot Lunch team is looking for a few dedicated parents to volunteer on "Pizza Days" for this coming school year. This position(s) requires 3 - 4 parents to come to the school on designated hot lunch days and help coordinate and distribute the hot lunches with the assistance of the Grade 7 students. The time commitment is approximately 1.5 hours on one Wednesday of each month.

If you would like to volunteer for this position please consider asking a few other parent friends to volunteer as well so the team can be complete!

This is an easy and fun way to help out your school and connect with other parents and students. Please email canyonhotlunch@gmail.com if you are interested."
